The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data to identify meaningful trends and patterns that drive actionable insights for program and business transformation. This role requires advanced expertise in data management, analytics, and process improvement to deliver innovative solutions, enhance organizational efficiency, and support decision-making at the executive level.
The Senior BI Analyst will leverage analytical tools, visualization techniques, and process engineering methods to generate insights, streamline operations, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with business acumen and the ability to deliver high-quality, professional work products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate data-driven findings to leadership.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve business processes, efficiencies, and transformation initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to process engineering efforts to streamline operations and optimize organizational performance.
- Collaborate with program managers, analysts, and stakeholders to support decision-making with accurate, timely, and reliable data.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple sources and reporting platforms.
- Support documentation, reports, and presentations for executive-level stakeholders.
- Deliver professional, high-quality, and client-ready products and services.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years specialized experience or 9 years general office-setting experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in data management and analysis (e.g., database systems, BI tools, analytics platforms).
- At least 2 years specialized experience in process engineering or supporting complex business functions and delivering challenging, high-quality products.
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, or R).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level reports and presentations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or similar federal law enforcement/mission support programs.
- Familiarity with federal government contracting environments and performance management.
- Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
